About Me

I thank you for your interest in Lots of Cuddles & Care. I have been providing child care for a decade and I enjoy every minute of it. I have worked in a center as a pre-toddler teacher and was then promoted to Assistant Director and I began not only working with every age from 6 weeks old to school age, but I also began working side by side with the parents/guardians. It was a very rewarding experience to run a facility that had approximately 100 families enrolled. This center was owned by Children’s Hospital and in 2001, the hospital decided to sell all of the daycare facilities. I then chose to continue teaching and caring for children by opening my own home child care.

I have been blessed with the opportunity to do what I love with a smaller group and find I really enjoy the benefits that a home child care provides.

My own children love to help with projects and games when they are not in school. My oldest daughter is 14, my son is 12 and my youngest daughter is 9. We have a golden retriever and cats that are perfectly patient and are always up-to-date on all of their shots.

I believe that child care is a partnership that holds the child’s best interest as top priority and I am excited to work with you to ensure that your child is safe, secure and happy.

Philosophy

Our children are the most important priority we have in our lives. It is so important to feel comfortable and secure with the childcare environment you choose. I take pride on providing a safe, comfortable, and educational setting for the children I care for. I also believe that creativity is the key to a rewarding life, so I encourage children to use their imagination whenever possible.

Experience

I am certified in Child/Infant CPR and First Aid through the American Heart Association. I also have an Associate's Degree in professional studies.

Curriculum Program

My preschool program provides a variety of different activities. I am a member of Child Care Share; a providers group. I am also able to get new ideas for my preschool program from a variety of different resources including but not limited to: Other provider’s ideas, Reach for the Stars Preschool Program, Mother Goose Time Preschool Program, etc.

I enjoy teaching children of all ages and I am excited about the opportunity to teach your child about the world around them. In my child care you will find my preschool program is a mixture of activities to enable me to provide a wide variety of activities to stimulate your child. We will have circle time in the morning with teachings such as: ABC’s, numbers, weather, calendar etc. The children will participate in art projects and activities which will reflect our theme for the month.  Music/exercise time will also be included in circle time.

Policies

I would be happy to discuss my Welcome Packet with you during our interview. It contains my handbook, contract, illness policy, etc. References can be provided upon request.

Additional Information

I am delighted that you took the time to find out a little information about myself and my child care and I look forward to meeting you and your child!
